You ARE Texas

Everything’s big in Texas, in fact, Texas is so big, it’s gone global  ;) Or so it’s been pointed out in a Facebook thread that started with “Good morning, Texas!”

New Mexico and Australia chimed in – “What about us?!” To which we replied with the simple truth: “If you love Texas, you ARE Texas.”  That good morning goes a long way. That’s how Texas rolls.:)

So now, I’m curious where, in the world, are you if you’re not living in Texas now?  Did you use to live here? Just wish you could live here? What is it you love so much about it?

Share, please.

We’re just BARELY out of Texas as we live in Jal…right in the VERY southeastern corner of NM.  We are 6 miles from the TX state line to the east and 8 miles to the south.  All of our parents are from Texas and Grandparents were Texans.  One of our children lives in TX (for the time being) and many of our favorite destinations are in TX!  We shop in Kermit, Odessa and sometimes Midland. Growing up we ONLY got TX radio and TV (in the dark ages before cable/satallite, etc) and are VERY good at figuring out if its 9:00 in TX its 8:00 here!
Brian is an artist and is doing a very LARGE steel sculpture for Ft Stockton TX!  It will consist of a company of Cavalry (appx. 20 ft tall) going down into old Ft Stockton.  This will be on the east side of Ft Stockton right off the Interstate.  On the WEST side of Ft Stockton will be a hunting party of Commanche—watching the Cavalry. They, too, will be just off the Interstate!  They will be set up very soon!  You can see pictures of what they will look like on the website…or just wait a month or so and GO SEE ‘EM!

Thanks for sharing that news about the sculpture. We’ll have to look into it.
